Elf & Seek

During Christmas 2023, Vodafone launched ‘Elf & Seek’: a Pokémon GO style game with prizes to be won. It was a big hit. As Christmas 2023 approached, Vodafone wanted to capitalise on the game’s success, bringing the ‘Elf & Seek’ characters to life with a standout in-store campaign.

 Our idea was to create an environment of rooftops and chimneys where these festive elves could be their playful, mischievous selves, all whilst tying the sentiment of Vodafone’s ATL message (Vodafone brings people joy, helping them ‘Feel the Connection’ with loved ones at Christmas) into our retail story. We created a sack load of playful assets, ranging from vinyl wraps and multi-layered window art to epic 3D builds and two-story digital displays. Every store had elves jumping from behind pillars, hopping over presents, pulling silly faces and dropping down chimneys into homes. Our approach positioned Vodafone as the telco brand that offers fun and excitement at Christmas, driving people into store to purchase special gifts of connectivity.

 With help from our cheeky elves, we created shared moments of joy for people over the festive period, just as Vodafone’s top tech products and award-winning network connection helped spark special Christmas moments of togetherness.
